HSE Advisor

HSE Advisor The Company: My client is a Civil Engineering contracting company that are undertaking major Highways projects across the Liverpool area. They are looking to appoint an HSE Advisor to join and established framework and HSE function. The Role: Reporting to the HSE Manager, the HSE Advisor will take responsibility for multiple sites managing highways projects overseeing the following duties * To advise and coordinate on H&S and Environmental issues * To ensure the HSE Management Systems are understood and used effectively at project level * To ensure that the requirements of the management system are being applied on site and administrative offices, by means of periodic inspection, audits and meetings * To provide HSE training/awareness to the project teams as necessary and within the scope of own expertise * To proactively provide instruction and task specific advice to operational and managerial personnel * To investigate accidents/incidents and ensure lessons learnt are applied * To perform audits on safety and environmental risk areas * To ensure timely close out of actions from audits, inspections, accidents and incidents * To ensure compliance with methods and procedures at project level * To be champion for improving HSE performance via initiatives and rigorous application of HSE management systems * To provide assistance to Business Development for HSEQ aspects of pre-qualification and tenders * To contribute to the review and revision of HSEQ policies, plans, documented procedures and forms. * To ensure Inspection and Testing requirements are maintained throughout our activities.
