Production Controller

CONSTRUCT. BUILD. SHAPE. DESIGN. CREATE. You can do all of this and more with BAM. BAM Plant is recruiting a Production Controller to join the team in Wellingborough. The role will be responsible for the control of material procurement and deliveries for both the Electrical and Accommodation departments. Placing Health & Safety of all involved in the business as your top priority, you will focus on "Doing it right first time" and identifying failures to prevent recurrence. About the role Principal Responsibilities will include: Sourcing material and liaise with suppliers, including tranport for both departments Liaison with Contract Managers and projects to organise material and plant deliveries Liaison with the Accommodation Manager to organise and co-ordinate the delivery, installation and removal of accommodation complexes Liaison with Electrical and Accommodation workshop supervisors regarding schedules and requirements Liaison with the Accommodation Manager in placing work instructions with both directly employed and sub-contract labour Record, track and monitor in house equipment & plant in relation to compliance with relevant procedural and legal checks Liaison with the Electrical Quality Manager and schedule, record and notify all aspects of Electrical Testing & Inspection, Policy and Procedure Liaison with the Electrical Quality Manager and Department Managers to track, record and file all relevant H&S documentation Liaison with Electrical and Accommodation Management to ensure RAMS, Lift Plans and all other relevant documentation is provided to the correct parties in a timely manner Liaison with relevant BAM Plant, BAM Construction and external parties to ensure works are completed safely and in a timely manner Ensure remedial works requested by projects is allocated to the correct Manager and follow up to ensure timely and satisfactory completion General office administration as and when required Contribute to the Company procurement process,products,services, Operating procedures and documented systems Supporting BAM in all its operations as required Minimising the environmental impact on your operation Striving for profitable growth Who are we looking for? Experience of working within the plant hire or construction related supply industry Strong administration and organisational skills with accuracy and attention to detail Excellent customer focus skills with the ability to develop positive relationships with the key contacts Good oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels Strong IT / Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Ability to work with own initiative and as part of a team What do we offer?
