Bridge Supervisor

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated supervisor to join the Highways Bridge team in Congleton. The role of Bridge Supervisor will primarily be responsible for supervising the effective and safe delivery of the capital and revenue activities across the borough. We want someone who can communicate effectively across the business, drive improvements to safety and efficiencies on site. This role involves time spent outdoors and travelling across the network in various weather conditions. Salary - £30,000 - £33,000 + Van + Fuel Card Depot based in Congleton, CW12 1RH The successful candidate will have; Knowledge of Highways Maintenance works Experience in working with NEC forms of contract and the various options Checking and reviewing drawings Ability to work in a contractors environment to various deadlines an timescales Awareness of commercial aspects of site activities Knowledge of environmental impacts associated with highways works Knowledge of CDM, Safety legislation, environmental impact and environmental legislation Clean - Full UK Driver's LicenseYou would be responsible for; Undertaking Operative daily briefings promoting Health & safety throughout all works Supervising minor Capital schemes to agreed target cost, timescale etc Carrying out regular site checks to ensure operational safety Providing site inductions to supply chain partners where required Reviewing drawings, undertake walk / talks to advise on practical aspects of the planned design Maintaining detailed records of each site / project and provide feedback on progress To raise potential issues regarding adherence to design Undertake completion inspections to help verify satisfactory completion of site work Providing HSE toolbox talks to site operatives Assisting in the procurement of materials and plant required for individual schemes Training will be provided across many aspects of the requirements for this postAs an equal opportunities employer, should you require any reasonable adjustments to be made as part of the application process please contact us directly.
