Job Title; CAD Designer
Salary; Dependent on experience
Shift; Monday - Friday 8:30am - 4:30pm
Location; Loughborough, Leicestershire
Our client, a leading construction company in the Leicestershire area, is seeking a CAD Designer to join their established team. The successful individual will play an integral role within the company by taking a lead with project management, design and delivery.

The CAD Designer Role;
* Design high quality, robust, and cost effective CAD product models by preparing routine layouts, detail drawings and assemblies
* Develop both 2D and 3D models and revise and update CAD drawings as required
* Work closely with other Designers and Engineers to ensure a coordinated design process
* Complete drawings, sketches, and diagrams in order to create prototypes for CAD models
* Develop alternative design solutions/quick engineering solutions for complex problems
* Assist in team design reviews in order to evaluate design concepts and make recommendations
* Develop working drawings from sketches or descriptions developed by Engineers
* Produce bills of materials for works to collate goods
* Ensure all documentation is updated on the central database
* Maintain records of design process in accordance with sound design practices and ISO requirements
* Establish and implement a CAD standard drawing database
* Ensure compliance with required design safety factors, tolerances, and specifications
* Contribute to new product designs and assist with generating new ideas
* Liaise with Structural Calculations Engineers to prove design ensuring designs meet with criteria required
* Develop alternative design solutions or quick engineering solutions for complex problems
* Other duties where required within a small team to ensure all functions of the business are covered
Our Ideal CAD Designer Candidate;
* Experienced in using AutoCAD
* Excellent problem solving skills and ability to generate resolutions
* Experience of working in an engineering or construction environment is essential
* Previous experience of managing multiple projects and prioritising
* Excellent communication skills in order to liaise between various departments
* Full UK Driving Licence maybe required due to the location of the company
