Quantity Surveyor

A Premium homebuilder has a new requirement for a Quantity Surveyor to join the business. This is a fantastic opportunity and if successful the position offers career progression to Director level in the future. Salary circa to £50k with mileage, mobile phone, and pension scheme. This position requires the individual to be an experienced in Quantity Surveyor/Commercial Manager. You will be degree qualified in Quantity Surveying having worked in QS for a number of years and then progressed into a Commercial/Contract Manager role. Industry will be development and new build residential. Responsibilities of the Surveyor: Lead Bid/Tender Preparation Provide Contract reviews of current bid work, which includes contract negotiation and Contract Administration Take full P&L responsibility inclusive of budgets, tenders Have experience of construction based software systems. Implementation and development Ensure robust contract documentation control and project handover Account Management, by developing relationships with customers Provide commercial advice to Projects teams, Site Managers and senior management team. Provide regular KPI updates to the Director Requirements for the roleRequirements of the Surveyor: RICS preferred with accredited degree in Quantity Surveying Experienced Quantity Surveyor who has moved in to a commercial management role Background in residential new build Demonstrable knowledge of using various systems Excellent communication and problem solving skills Demonstrable financial and commercial acumenIn return they offer an attractive salary and benefits package Salary: Circa to £50k, dependant on experience Mileage paid Pension Scheme 25 days holiday + Stats Mobile Phone and laptop providedWe aim to respond to suitable candidates within 5 working days.
