Planning & Property Officer

Property & Planning Officer Permanent - Newcastle, Tyne & Wear £38,800 + Benefits Hays Property are delighted to be working with a fantastic organisation specialising in the healthcare industry to recruit a Specialist Property & Planning Officer. This role will be to ensure the effective management of accommodation planning locally and strategically. The planning function is fundamental to the delivery of the Organisation's Estates Strategy and will feed into capital schemes and backlog maintenance work streams from inception to completion. Candidates must have significant relevant experience of project management delivery and ability to work to strict timelines. Key aspects of the role will be to think and operate at a strategic level with an understanding of Space Planning & Utilisation of the acute estate. The ability to extract project briefs and articulate business cases is an essential part of the role, a proven track record in this aspect of work is essential. Experience and knowledge of different procurement routes should be demonstrated. Candidates should have the ability to demonstrate concise organisational skills and be able to communicate effectively with all stakeholders and clinical teams, leading on negotiations when developing accommodation plans and moves. You should be highly motivated and be able to demonstrate a successful track record of space planning in a complex organisation. Candidates should be academically qualified to degree in an Estates related discipline with knowledge of planning procedures. The successful candidates will form part of a multi-disciplinary Capital and Planning Team.
