Quantity Surveyor

My client is a regional civil engineering contractor who are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Warrington. A Quantity Surveyor is central to the decision making process throughout the development of a project, from initial inception to final completion. A successful Quantity Surveyor would look like: • Proven experience as a lead site quantity surveyor with NEC contract experience on civil projects • Qualifications at – HND, BSC or equivalent • Relevant qualifications, site certificates • Computer literate • Proven track record • Outstanding time management and organisational skills • Suitable and recognised qualification in building is an advantage • Professional qualifications/ institution membership • Excellent communication skills, both spoken and written • Experience in Civil Engineering Roles and Responsibilities: • Responsible for all the commercial aspects of projects from appraisal and validation of sub-contractor applications • To give a price on all works in line with current market conditions • Cost valuation reporting • To improve where possible company profits • Analyse progress and write detailed reports • To manage target costs • To prepare cost reconciliation for the director • To undertake site visits in preparation of all tenders and take photographs • Run cost analysis for ongoing repair and maintenance work • Negotiation and award of contracts • Risk management • Attending/ leading project and commercial meetings • Contract management My client offers a competitive salary in addition to a comprehensive benefits package including company pension scheme, incentive/bonus schemes, and many more!
