Job Description
A growing structural warranty provider are currently seeking a driven and proactive Business Development Manager with construction sales experience to join the business in a permanent capacity covering the North East and beyond, in return for up to £35,000 basic salary, commission and company vehicle.
The manager will be responsible for the development of new business opportunities, continuing to enhance the existing brand and establishing strong customer relationships across Cumbria, North Yorkshire, Cleveland, Durham and Northumberland.
Manager Responsibilities:
Navigating between the company and existing and potential markets by engaging with developers, builders, self builds, architects, engineers, local authorities and solicitors
Development with potential clients, attending sales meetings and bringing in new customers
Consolidating and developing relationships with existing customers
Identifying potential leads
Cold calling to arrange meetings with potential customers
Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of competitors and their products, pricing and overall engagement throughout the region
Manager must provide weekly reports to Directors on development of business to date
Meeting targets set Manager Requirements:
Exceptional customer relationship development skills
Strong knowledge of construction practices throughout the UK, ideally with a good understanding of the structural warranty market
Proven track record in generating new business and exceeding targets
Innovative approach towards customer satisfaction
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Listening to customer requirements and presenting accordingly
Ability to work flexibly, balancing competing priorities and meeting deadlines whilst remaining mindful of the needs, timescales and deadlines of others
Ability to deal diplomatically and confidentially with a range of stakeholders internally and externally
Excellent IT Skills
Willingness to travel across England regions
