Quantity Surveyor - Facades
Fareham - Hampshire
My client is requiring a Quantity Surveyor to join the team who has experience working for a Facades contractor.
My client is a specialist carpentry and facade contractor providing the design, supply, and installation of a large range of products including:
* Glazing
* Curtain Walling
* Cladding
* Render
* Steel Frame Systems
* Flashings and bracketry
Job Details
Manage project specific cost control throughout the design and build process.
• Liaise with buying team/ design team to manage and monitor budgets.
• Monitor and control labour spend.
• Monitor prelim spend against budget and program position.
• Reviewing and agreeing sub contract payments whilst maintaining and reporting spend against measure/prelim/ recoverable budgets to allow business wide improvement.
• Reporting on measure and progress on site vs budget and program.
• Maximising VE/VO opportunities through design process, pricing and agreeing items with clients through the process.
• Maximising VE/VO opportunities from site visits, pricing and agreeing items with clients through the process.
• Manage Cost To Complete alongside deliverable team to conclusion of a project.
• Submit accurate applications on time along with forecast cash flow figures and chase money in with respective surveyor/ accounts team.
• Support rest of deliverables team with queries of a contractual nature.
• Issue and chase up signed sub-subcontracts and self-billing agreements for each project.
• Management of project specific Supplier & Subcontractor NCR’s & register.
• Ensure that instructions or CVGI’s are in place for any additional works.
• Production of monthly Cost Reports.
• Ensure all subcontract orders are placed in a timely manner- both labour only & Bona-fide.
• Preparation and management of project cashflows.
