Job Description

An established Approved Inspector are currently seeking a proactive Business Development Manager from a construction sales background to bring in commercial customers requiring Building Control services. In return the successful candidate will receive a 5% commission of Building Control business gained in addition to a starting salary of £40,000. The role is singular within the company, and the manager would cover the UK, offering an exciting opportunity for an established Business Development Manager to excel. Commercial developments are abundant across the UK, so providing genuine potential to develop a considerable customer portfolio. The Business Development Manager will report directly to the company's Building Control Managing Director, who will agree sales objectives relating to targeted growth. The ability to build and maintain internal relationships is pivotal to this role. The role will require consistent communication with the marketing team, along with the company's in-house surveyors to ensure excellent service continues throughout the process. Manager Responsibilities include: Developing key contacts at senior levels of major target organisations Producing sales presentations to clients and colleagues Providing updated sales statistics and data on a weekly and ad hoc basis Managing existing, and develop new, customer relationships through a CRM system Attending Trade Exhibitions and Industry events Constantly maintaining up-to-date competitor and market knowledgeThe ideal candidate will have: A track record of achieving sales targets within the construction industry, ideally within Building Control specifically As the location is UK wide the ideal candidate will be based centrally/ North England An in depth understanding of the construction industry and specifically awareness of the Building Control Approved Inspector market Strong Customer Relationship Management skills with the ability to be able to identify and match products with new and existing customers Can identify market opportunities Strong commercial and market awareness Knowledge of FCA Regulations and CICAIR code of conductBenefits: Salary up to £40,000 5% commission on business brought in Pension scheme Private Medical Insurance Death in Service Professional fees paid Training and developmentSimply click to apply or please contact Hannah on (phone number removed) or via for further information.
