Quantity Surveyor - New build Sub contractor Working for an established sub-contractor with a full order book for the next 18 months Location:- East Sussex (Between Brighton and Crawley) Salary:- £50,000 - £60,000 + Car + Package Role Description As an established Sub contractor in the Southern region my client has seen a rapid rise in contract awards after the lockdown was eased. With several of their clients requesting their services delivering schemes from 500k - 5million in value. Focused in the new build sector across JCT and Bespoke contracts with projects in both New build homes / apartments, Commercial developments and industrial units. The Quantity Surveyor will report in to a Senior Quantity Surveyor and look after the smaller schemes or be part of a small team on the larger developments. Type of day to day duties will include: - Measuring and estimating. Preparing valuations for interim application for payment including variations. Preparing and negotiating final accounts. Remeasure Bill of Quantities. Monitoring costs to ensure works are within budgets. Visit live sites to ensure works are running correctly. Understand the implications of health and safety regulations. Ensure contract cash flow is maintained.
