We now have an opportunity for a Roofer to join us to provide a comprehensive roofing service to domestic and commercial properties. Undertaking full roofing duties and identifying and rectifying defects in roofing, you must survey and correctly identify faults to pitched and flat roofs and correctly replace slates or tiles in isolated patches.You must also remove old roof covering and replace full roof covering to all styles of roofs and re-bed hip and ridge tiles, repair lead valley’s and point and repair chimney stacks. You will also be expected to liaise with customers when arranging and carrying out work, having full regard to their needs and working from written and verbal instructions, including drawings, diagrams, sketches, calculations using measuring equipment where appropriate. Competent in all aspects of the roofing trade discipline and with experience of maintenance work on domestic and commercial properties, including high rise blocks, for general repairs and refurbishments, you must be able to work in confined spaces and as part of a team. Applicants must hold NVQ 2 in roof slating and tiling and must have basic knowledge of flat roofs. A current driving licence is essential.Skilled workers will hold a CSCC card, have asbestos awareness and their own tools.
