Senior Quantity Surveyor

My client are a leading groundworks company based in the West Midlands, as a business they undertake contracts ranging from £500K to £10M focussed on the residential sectors with Tier 1 developers and house builders. They have and enviable presence both locally and nationally with a dedicated and motivated workforce who enjoy internal progression. My client is looking to recruit a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will report to a Commercial Director and be responsible for the commercial management of 3 - 5 projects. General Responsibilities: • Price/forecast the cost of the different materials needed for the project • Prepare budgets, bills of quantities and other documentation • Track changes to the design and/or construction work and adjusting budget projections accordingly • Procure or agree the services of contractors and/or subcontractors who work on the construction of the project • Measure and value the work done on site • Liaise with the client and colleagues; including Site Managers, Project Managers and Site Engineers Experience Required: • Experience working within the residential groundworks sector is essential • Ideally have a degree in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management • A logical and organised approach to work • Team player who promotes and protects the interest of the business at all times This company is offering a highly competitive remuneration, for more information on this role, please call John Ashcroft (phone number removed)
