Commercial Manager

A chance to have overall responsibility for the construction of major new build school as a Commercial Manager supported by a forward thinking company. Build Space has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Commercial Manager to work with a Main Contractor passionate about Modern Methods of Construction. This Main Contractor delivers medium to large scale projects across multiple sectors including residential, commercial, mixed use buildings, and education across the UK. This Commercial Manager will be responsible for financial costs and budgets for the construction of a technically challenging education project near Bishop's Stortford worth over £30m. The right Commercial Manager will need to be an accomplished leader that can motivate and guide staff to complete their work to a high standard, have strong commercial awareness and maintain the company's standards and reputation. This empowering opportunity will allow you to: - Reviewing and developing operational process flows - Recognising business opportunities, putting together bids to win new business as well as negotiating and agreeing contracts - Resolving contractual and commercial problems - Ensuring all stakeholders understand and adhere to contractual obligations - Ensuring the financial aspects and impact of a contract are clear to all parties - Managing, mentoring, and providing training of other Quantity Surveyors - Continuously working to strategically expand, preserve or improve procedures, standards or policies whilst sticking to regulatory guidelines. Due to the role's high level of responsibility, the successful candidate will need to have at least 7 years industry experience and demonstrate your experience in managing large scale construction projects.
