Planning Consents Manager

With the governments renewed commitment to HS2, our client is looking to appoint a Planning Consents Manager to join their team based in Birmingham. Your brief will be to liaise with Hs2 and the design joint venture to draft the applications and manage the pre-application processes with Local Planning Authorities. Specifically you will be required to review and submit Schedule 17 plans and specifications for works delivery and programme dates etc. You will play a lead role in the team and will have a planning consents assistant reporting to you. The role will also require you to lead various engagement meetings to ensure the successful delivery of the planning consent process. You will also coordinate internal divisions across environment, planning and construction and will have a planning consents assistant reporting to you. To be considered for the role, you will need to demonstrate experience of securing planning consents and compliance within infrastructure or construction projects A good knowledge of civil engineering practices and working to programmes A town planning degree and full membership of the RTPI. This is a full time post that is expected to start in mid june. A generous base salary and benefits comes with this opportunity
