About the Role We are currently looking to recruit a Quantity Surveyor on a fixed term contract until March 2021 to work on site at our compound within Durham University. The Quantity Surveyor will effectively carry out quantity surveying duties for the Durham University project. Ensuring that all commercial matters of the project including procurement, risk, cost and value reporting, forecasting and contractual matters managed effectively and in line with Colas’ governance, policies and procedures. An excellent communicator, client focused with good commercial awareness and commitment to business success. You will have good time management/attitude to change, ability to plan and prioritise your own workload working under pressure to meet deadlines. You will also have: * Flexible approach. * Good IT skills in MS Word and Excel, with a familiarity of MS project. * Be conscientious. * Diplomacy. * An eye for detail. * Full clean driving licence. * Self-motivation.
