Senior Site Manager - Major Projects - Commercial / Education Sussex Circa £275 per day - £300 per day Temporary: July 2020 A tier 1 contractor has an immediate freelance requirement for a Senior Site Manager to work on major commercial and education projects in the South East. Reporting to a Project Manager on new build projects valued between £20m and £35m, the Senior Site Manager will control and manage all site activities. They would also be capable of managing their own smaller projects up to £7m. This is a long term appointment. The main responsibilities of the Senior Site Manager include: • Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality procedures • Sub Contract packages / sections of work • Quality and delivery within budget and programme • Client liaison and reporting • Planning and design • Overseeing Engineering/Quality/Record Keeping • Risk Assessments and Method Statements • Produce short term programme • Attend Health & Safety meetings and update SHEQ plan regularly • Manage site inductions • Organise site logistics • Liaise with customers and clients The position will suit a Senior Site Manager with extensive r/c frame experience gained with a Top 50 main contractor on projects in excess of £20m and may come from a professional or trade background. It would be an advantage if candidates that can demonstrate a stable employment history as this role could lead to a permanent appointment within 6 months.
