Estimator/Surveyor

Estimator / Surveyor – Special Works – Portsmouth This company has achieved preferred contractor status with MOD with a current pipeline 3-5 years of carrying out special works and minor works. Due to the nature of works and environment the role will involve both Estimating and Surveying duties, so being experienced in both will be a distinct advantage. They are looking for someone with strong communication skills “a people person”, liaising with reps from heritage, conservation, MOD clerk of the works & various senior personnel, relationship building is critical for this role, taking ownership of the pricing/tender models along with the surveying function, as the team grows. The works packages are all priced on a commercial basis a opposed to schedules of rates and comprises small & special works, new build, refurbishment, commercial, industrial, heritage, conservation, remedials, planned, reactive maintenance, light civils, structures & hard land scaping. £50k - £2m. Prior MOD/Government experience an advantage, failing that a broad sector experience. Remuneration is negotiable with basic salary c55k - £60k and incentives / bonuses to be agreed with client.
