Job Description

Planner Negotiable Plus Benefits Our client in the construction industry based in the Cambridgeshire area are looking for a skilled Planner. The Planner will complete design of works producing accurate plan of works for operational activities that meet the client requirements. Key Accountabilities for the Planner position: • Production of low level designs for completion of works submitted to the client within agreed SLAs • Attend site visits where necessary with the client to understand the work required • Provide price quotation to the client against the plans agreed ensuring rates reflect pricing principles agreed in the client contract • Ensure the key elements of the client contract relating to the planning process is understood and considered during planning activities to ensure our client consistently meet these requirements • Work together with the client fostering a partnership approach in identifying improvements to the planning process that drive efficiencies for mutual gain • Work collaboratively with operational teams to ensure planning details are conveyed effectively and understood before works commence • Work closely with the Applications team to ensure detail of plans are accurate and support the timely processing of applications for payment responding to queries quickly • Ensure the work that you undertake is done safely and in compliance with our clients policies and procedures including the administration of data on their systems Key Skills for the Planner position • Able to work in a fast paced, changing environment • Able to manage own workload dealing with conflicting priorities effectively to meet deadlines • Able to receive constructive feedback, maintain respect and mutually agree any action required for you to take in response • Able to deal with conflict in a calm and controlled manner • Self-motivated and able to work autonomously • Proactive approach to resolving problems taking an objective approach to understanding lessons that can be learnt when things don’t go to plan • Good IT skills, competent with the use of internet, email and Microsoft (Word, Excel and Outlook) Monday to Friday days For more details please contact Lisa Parsons
