JS247 –Senior Planning Engineer
Location: West London
Salary: £ 65,000 - £75,000 + Car/Allowance + Benefits
First Military Executive Recruitment is working closely with an established business who are looking to strengthen their team on a rolling project in West London.
The successful candidate will join a leading main contractor who have an unrivalled reputation for their expertise and professional approach to delivering technically challenging projects.
The Senior Planner sets out, monitors, maintains and updates the project schedule in coordination with all stakeholders of the project. The Senior Planner provides information to the Project Management and Design Management teams on project progress including critical path and project milestones.

Duties and Responsibilities :
Ability to develop detail within an existing programme and can coach others
Ability of update and monitor progress within the working programme and can coach others
Ability of introducing change into a programme.
Ability to resource and cost load programmes.
Have an understanding of the introduction & evaluation of risk in programmes
Using appropriate methods to check programme robustness.
Ability to provide routine and one-off programme outputs.
Tender Specific Planning skills
Assimilate and interpret information from tender documentation.
Contribute to bid winning strategy
Develop programme structure and content independently working with bid team.
Ensure communication & transfer of knowledge post award.
Contribute to tender written submission.
Develop & maintain effective working relationships
Gather and monitor information for both progress and feedback and can coach others
Ability to produce and communicate programme information in a variety of forms
Skills & experience :
Demonstrable, broad understanding and working knowledge of construction methods and outputs.
Proven understanding of commercial and contractual requirements and awareness of change
Proven skills in planning software, principally P6, and can coach others.
Thorough experience and understanding of programming techniques.
Give advice and support on short term programmes to construction teams.
Understand how to make an analytical assessment of programmes.
Ability to evaluate supply chain programmes.
Understand and comply with business processes and systems.
Ability to work to defined timescales.
Establish and maintain Internal and External Project Controls reporting.
