Water Treatment Commissioning Engineer - Birmingham

Our client is a well-established, successful company within the water treatment/hygiene industry. Due to the recent acquisition of new contracts they are now looking for an experienced and hard-working Water Treatment Commissioning Engineer to work on a variety of contracts in and around the Birmingham area. The successful candidate will have experience in the commisisioning and balancing of water and air systems. Applications from Coventry, Stafford, Derby, Leicester and the surrounding areas will be considered. Qualifications & experience: The applicant must come from a good water treatment, chemical, technical and maintenance background. Excellent communication skills. Proficient with Microsoft office package. A good working knowledge of the water industry. Experience working in this role within the water treatment industry essential. Role: Ensure compliance with relevant Health & Safety legislation and company standards. Carry out allocated service work keeping strictly to client's specifications. Conduct training of staff when required. Repair and commissioning of water treatment equipment and controllers. Undertake service visits on cooling towers. Installation, servicing and repair of water softeners. Inspecting project installs when required. Diagnose electrical faults with equipment. Produce reports and prepare quotations. Carrying out chlorination and disinfection works on both hot and cold water systems, boilers and cooling towers. Building and maintaining a professional working relationship with the company's clients.
