Senior Transport Engineer

Our client is currently recruiting for a Senior Transport Engineer to work full time on a rolling monthly contract. The role will be to start in July and the vacancy offers a pay rate of £30/£40 per hour. As an experience Senior Transport Engineer, you will be working on schemes throughout Swindon Borough Council. Excellent written and spoken English is essential, as is the ability to communicate well at all levels. Essential qualities the ideal candidate will have: * A relevant qualification such as an HNC/HND or Degree is required along with the following: Relevant experience in a traffic engineering, including scheme investigations, site inspections, data collection and analysis. * Knowledge of TSRGD, DMRB and Cycle Design Standards. * A hands-on capability in the use of AutoCAD. Desirable qualities the ideal candidate will have: * Experience in some or all of the following: Cycle scheme design, junction design, traffic management and signs & road markings Experience in Transport Planning and commenting on Highways & Transport aspect of planning applications Barton & Graham acts as an employment business when supplying temporary staff and as an employment agency when introducing candidates for permanent employment with a client.
