Job Description

Our client who offer the Total Envelope Package, are looking to recruit a Production Scheduler based at their offices in the West Midlands region. Reports To The Scheduler will report to the Design Manager. Job Overview A Scheduler will be responsible for ensuring that all products required by internal and external customers are planned and coordinated to be manufactured, shipped and delivered to our customers-on time. Manage production scheduling and coordinate materials procurement and production plans to meet business plans and fulfill customer orders. Coordinates workflow within or between departments to meet production schedules. Produce, review, distribute and co-ordinate production and shipping schedules, conferring with department supervision to determine progress and completion dates, and maintain control and accuracy of raw materials and production inventories. Responsibilities and Duties Plan and prepare production schedules for manufacture of all products, assemblies and sub-assemblies Draws up master schedule to establish sequence and lead time of each operation to meet manufacturing and shipping dates of sales forecasts or customer orders Analyse production and estimating specifications to obtain project estimated data and perform mathematical calculations to determine manufacturing processes, tools, and human resource requirements Plan and schedule workflow for each department and operation according to previously established manufacturing sequences and lead times Plan sequence of fabrication, assembly, installation, and other manufacturing operations for guidance of production management and workers Confer with department supervisors to determine status of assigned projects Expedites operations that delay schedules and alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions. Prepare production reports Prepare lists of required materials, tools, and equipment Ensure purchase orders are placed on time to ensure materials, tools, and equipment are available when required. Knowledge & Experience Strong organization and communication skills required. Detail-oriented, able to multi-task and prioritize task to meet deadlines. Good analytical skills. Identify tools, processes and metrics to optimize supplier value. Good technical writing, documentation and record-keeping skills. Ability to contribute in a cross-functional collaborative environment. Financial skills including cost modelling and cost analysis. Ability to leverage metrics to drive supplier performance. Preferred bachelor’s degree in business, management or related discipline. 3 years progressive experience in materials management using ERP/MRP systems within a manufacturing environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint. APICS certification – a plus. Experience in total quality, six sigma, lean or other similar manufacturing environments - a plus Experience in using Schucal Software Knowledge/previously worked in the ExternalFaçade/Glazing Sector This is an excellent opportunity for a growing business.
