Building Services Manager

The Company This tier two main contractor who build projects ranging from £5m to £20m, have successfully been building schools nationwide. Now, due to an increase workload and the potential to grow the business even further, they are looking to recruit a building services manager. The Role As a building services manager you will be responsible for overseeing several projects simultaneously, and whilst the company operates nationally, they will try their best to match the schemes as locally as possible. The projects understandably are more electrically biased with the mechanical packages being quite straight forward. The BSM will also input at the pre-construction phase and with tender submissions. The Individual Ideally from an electrical background the BSM will have worked for a main contractor previously in the same role, ideally having been responsible for new build and/or refurbishments of education projects or similar buildings with value to around £20m. Longevity is a must as is the willingness to travel and manage your own time effectively. Degree and/or Chartership status is certainly advantageous. The Opportunity Despite the current climate, this company continues to buck the trend and will grow again this year and next. As the company expands this will give the BSM a great opportunity to develop further and move to a more senior role
