Groundsman / Gardener

Groundsman / Gardener Salary - £19,000 - £20,000 Monday to Friday, 8am - 5pm + occasional overtime Based in Blackberry Hill, Bristol. BS16 2EW In the role of Groundsman / Gardener you would be responsible for the day to day minor repairs and routine maintenance, emergency repairs or grounds tasks across multiple sites in Bristol. The successful candidate will have previous experience of gardening or grounds work and they will display team player, hardworking and trustworthy traits. What are we looking for? A hardworking, reliable work ethic Good time management and ability to work to deadlines NVQ in Grounds Maintenance Previous groundsman experience Previous spraying experience (C&G / NPTC Pesticide Training) Clean - UK driver's licenseDuties would include; Multisite management Completion of grounds maintenance task such as Weeding, digging, forking, mulching, watering, raking, edging, pruning, bed preparation, planting, hedge cutting The use of hand tools and basic light machinery and plant The use of mowers, strimmers, hedge-cutters and leaf blowers To ensure all equipment, machinery and buildings are safely secure To keep all tools and equipment clean and in good order, reporting any defects or repairs required To apply chemicals where appropriate To keep the courtyards, planted areas, thoroughfares, and footpaths free from litter at all times To carry out gritting, salt spreading, snow clearing, as necessary Ensuring Health and Safety policy is adhered to at all timesIf this sounds like an ideal opportunity and your approach to your work is the same as ours, we would love to hear from you.
