Senior Quantity Surveyor – Civil Engineering Fareham, Hampshire Salary up to £65,000 + Car Allowance + 25 days Holiday + Pension Blaymires Recruitment is working with a respected Civil Engineering Contractor based near Fareham, who is searching for a Quantity Surveyor. The business undertakes Highways and Groundworks projects for a variety of clients across the south and due to a busy order book going into 2021, they are looking for a confident and experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor. In this role you will be responsible for managing contracts and will report directly to the Managing Director. This role would suit a motivated Quantity Surveyor who is looking to take a step up, or an existing Senior Quantity Surveyor. Requirements for the role You will have Civil Engineering, Highways or Groundworks experience. Be commercially minded with strong numeracy and financial management skills. Have JCT/ NEC contract experience. A practical and logical mind and a methodical way of thinking. A creative and innovative approach to problem solving. Able to write clear and precise reports and to relate complex information in a simple way to a diverse range of people. Negotiation and teamwork skills. The ability to motivate and lead those on site. Detailed knowledge of past and current building and construction technology, processes, materials, business and legal matters. Qualifications HND / Degree in Quantity Surveying Duties Carrying out feasibility studies to estimate costs of material, time, and labour. Sourcing and purchasing building materials. Preparing contracts that include quantities of required materials. Creating reports to record ongoing cost analysis of planning and building work Interview The company is very keen to interview potential candidates either face to face or using Zoom / Microsoft Team.
