CAD Technician

CAD TECHNICIAN Competitive salary dependent on qualifications & experience Due to the internal reorganisation at our client’s Head Office in Bathgate, we are looking to recruit an experienced CAD Technician within a manufacturing environment. This is an excellent opportunity to join an expanding, multi-disciplined Design Team involved in major development projects throughout the UK. You will be responsible for developing CAD drawings for their Sales, Contracts & Production Departments. Duties will include: • Creating plans and layouts from surveys • AutoCad drafting and detailing • Planning applications and building warrants • Knowledge of UK building regulations • Ongoing client and contractor liaison • Liaising with the projects, design, sales, production and contracts teams to prepare technical specifications in line with requirements The successful candidate must be hardworking, reliable, and possess excellent communication & inter personal skills. There will be significant interaction with all in-house personnel as well as external contractors and authorities. You will therefore be required to develop relationships at all levels. The ability to multi task and work to tight deadlines is a prerequisite. You will ideally be qualified to a minimum of HND level. Previous experience in an AutoCAD Technician/Architectural Technician role is essential. An understanding or interest in Revit would be advantageous.
