Mechanical Construction Manager – fit out - Central London M&E contractor £55,000 - £65,000 Keplar Group are currently recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Construction Manager for a market leading M&E contractor based in London. This specialist contractor is an established name in the market with a strong order book. Mechanical Construction Manager will be working for a company who have an annual turnover in excess of £120M and projects in value from £1-25 M. My client are seeking a Mechanical Construction Manager who is able to oversee a mechanical package based on site in Central London. This role requires someone to previously have worked for an M&E Contractor as a Mechanical Construction Manager on commercial fit out projects. Duties and Responsibilities: Working with Sub-contractors and communicating expectations in respects of site safety and project scope. Developing clear and achievable objectives relating to budget, manpower, materials, scheduling, programme and implementation of projects before reporting to Lead Project Manager. Managing and leading all construction aspects from initial project brief through to project handover. Responsible for planning of project strategy working with clients and colleagues. Assigning work to personnel based on current demands and creating a working environment orientated to trust, performance and team work. Checking and preparing site reports and communication as required to clients. Providing any insight and/or implementing any measures to mitigate project cost through the correct procurement of materials or Contractors. Managing various projects concurrently; ensuring successful completion of each one according to budget, timescale, and client specification. Giving daily Toolbox Talks and ‘Stopping the Job’ demonstrations, reassessing hazards/risks as relevant. At all times ensuring all works are in line with Health and Safety protocol and using required escalation channels. Complying with quality construction standards and undertaking preventative planning measures to minimise project impact. Requirements: An appropriate Construction Skills Certificate Scheme (CSCS) card Site Supervisor’s Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) or Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) (SMSTS) qualification.
