Project Planner/Planning Engineer - Central London Major Infrastructure Schemes (Civils and Rail) Are you a Project Planner/Planning Engineer with a couple of years experience who wants to work on major infrastructure schemes? Our client is a major engineering contractor with a portfolio of major infrastructure projects in both the UK and abroad. They boast a strong workload of current and upcoming schemes and thus despite the economic climate, are looking to add an enthusiastic Project Planner/Planning Engineer to their Central London office (based near London Bridge). Specifically, they're seeking an individual with a couple of years relevant UK-planning experience behind them but is keen to learn and develop their . This opportunity offers the chance to work on a mixed variety of large-scale schemes, working closely with an experienced Planning Manager who has a history of training and developing keen Junior Planners into fully self-sufficient individuals. The role will be a mixture of creating detailed fully resource and cost-loaded programmes, monitoring and updating progress, critical path analysis, earned value analysis and progress reporting to key stakeholders where necessary. Initially, you will likely be involved in M&E elements of major infrastructure projects, but in the future this could also include: Rail (station refurb, track renewals and signalling). Tunnelling. Bridges, land remediation and reclamation. Utilities. Marine. Our client is seeking the following: At least 1-2 years planning or project controls experience on UK-based rail/infrastructure schemes. Relevant engineering degree. Previous site experience (for example as an Engineer) before moving into planning would be a distinct advantage. Positive and pro-active individual, looking to learn and develop quickly. Proficient with Primavera P6 and MS Project. Eligible to work in the UK. In return, our client is offering a basic salary of up to circa £42,000 per annum plus a benefits package comprising travel allowance, pension and various other flexi options.
