Estimator

A key client of mine, who is a large main-contractor that work on redidential and construction schemes, are seeking an Estimator or Senior Estimator on a permanent basis to join their team in Tyne & Wear. You will be involved in pricing various projects, including: new-build construction schemes, residential new-build and refurbishment projects. Your main duties will include: * Completing take-offs from drawings and producing BOQ's/cost plan estimates * Preparing written proposals, methodologies and commentators * Working with and building relationships with the North Easts top sub-contractors * Attending regular tender review meetings to create effective budgets and reports * Assisting in the development and training of junior staff To be considered for this role, you must have the following: * Previous experience of working as an Estimator for a main contractor in the build or refurb sector; or have previously worked for a new-build house-builder in an estimating capacity. * Excellent numeration and written skills as well as excellent communication skills * Experience of using ConQuest or Causeway (or a similar estimating software) * Be highly organised with the ability to prioritise workload This is an excellent opportunity to join a successful and secure business with a strong pipeline of work in the region.
