Highways Site Supervisor (NEC)
Superb opportunity for an experienced Clerk of Works or Highways Site Supervisor to join Aleon on a 12-month contract, with the potential for this to be extended. You’ll be working at numerous sites in the East Riding of Yorkshire area on highway repair, improvement, and construction schemes.
Your normal working hours will be around 37 to 45 per week within Monday to Friday, with occasional unsociable hours (surfacing on late evenings or early mornings) and possible weekend work.
You can choose to either be employed on a PAYE basis with an hourly rate in the region of £22.00 to £30.00 (dependent on experience), or you can choose to work on a self-employed basis, where you will receive a pay rate in the region of £25 to £35 per hour, dependent on experience. Mileage expenses will be paid where applicable.

What will this role of Highways Site Supervisor (NEC) entail?
You will be joining a friendly consultancy with the opportunity to manage and oversee both major and minor projects on sites across the East Riding area, inspecting works to ensure the Contractor safely constructs in accordance with CDM regulations, and to the specification and drawings within the Works Information. You will identify and note defects, monitor and report on progress, and maintain a comprehensive daily site diary.
What will I need to be considered for this Highways Site Supervisor (NEC) vacancy?
Ideally you will have:
* Proven experience with construction of highways and civil engineering projects as a Clerk of Works or Site Supervisor
* HNC or equivalent in a relevant discipline, along with a valid CSCS card
* Demonstrable experience of highway surfacing works
* Working knowledge of NEC3 ECC contracts within the civil engineering sector, and MCDHW particularly the DfT Specification for Highway Works Vol.1
* Up to date knowledge of CDM 2015 regulations and Chapter 8 Traffic Management
* Solid understanding of contract programmes
* Proactive approach to work, and the ability to manage your own workload ensuring projects are completed to a high standard
* Computer literacy with knowledge of Microsoft Office
* A full, valid driving licence with own means of transport
* Eligibility to work in the UK
