The Company A well-known tier one construction contractor who can boast a full order book for at least the next two years have recently been award a major £100m plus scheme in central London. They have an excellent reputation particularly in the South East and work with the many of the leading developers. The Role The Project Director will take the lead on a large £100m refurbishment scheme in central London. They will not only be the number one when the project goes to site but also drive the pre-construction team as well as managing a potentially challenging client. The project is highly complex both in design and logistically The Individual With the size and prestigious nature of the refurbishment the project director will be highly scrutinized and must be able to demonstrate strong leadership, organisation and client management skills. They will have also worked on building schemes in the UK, ideally in central London. Experience in large refurbishment and cut and carve schemes would certainly be advantageous. The project director must be able to demonstrate longevity in previous roles having led a major construction project from cradle to grave, most likely with a large tier one contractor
