Job Description
Key Areas of Responsibility:
Read, evaluate and interpret designs and drawings by other Team Professionals for inclusion within designs
Convert verbal and written information into two dimensional drawings used in the fabrication workshop and on site for
construction — accuracy and attention to detail are essential
Ensure designs are compliant with building, quality and technical standards
Produce procurement schedules and cutting sheets which must be produced in a reasonable timeline to allow
production to happen on time and to programme
Conduct surveys and turn that information into full production drawings
Work to programme achieving a good turnaround of work to enable procurement and factory process to happen on
time and in correct order Produce correct information 1st time through for approval by client, update the drawings in line with received
comments and issue the drawings for manufacture
Itemise drawings for the CNC machines
Requirements:
Achieve 100% accuracy and correctness at all stages of the process
Good colour vision, and ability to visualise designs in 3D
A good grasp of engineering drawing and principles
Understand the qualities of materials used
Understand construction methods and the manufacturing process
Good communication, numeracy and IT skills
Ability to work as part of a team while also having plenty of own initiative
Strong problem solving abilities and a desire to come up with practical solutions
