As a market leader in marine decommissioning, ABLE UK operates a number of ports and is a major land owner and developer functioning across the North of England. We have recently welcomed the second Shell Brent platform to our Able Seaton Port (ASP) in Hartlepool.
We are currently looking for a Civils Estimator to join our dedicated team in Billingham.

The Role
As a Civils Estimator, you will develop competitive, cost-effective tenders.
Working as part of the Estimating Department, you’ll contribute to tenders involving deep drainage, electricity distribution, groundworks, sub-structures, structures, hard landscapes and piling.
Some of your duties will include:
- Developing an accurate value for complex civils schemes
- Managing all stages of the tendering process
- Helping to prepare pre-qualification questionnaires and quality statements
- Attending meetings with clients, sub-contractors, senior management and other team members
- Selecting and appointing sub-contractors
About You
To join us as a Civils Estimator, you’ll need:
- At least five years’ construction experience
- Previous experience as an estimator or in a similar role
- Strong communication skills and the ability to liaise with individuals at all levels
- To be self-motivated, proactive and flexible
Ideally, you will have a minimum of five years’ experience as an estimator.
Other organisations may call this role Estimator, Construction Estimator, Cost Estimator, Project Estimator, or Civil Engineering Estimator.
This is a full-time role, working 8:00 – 17:00, Monday – Thursday and 8:00 – 16:00 on Fridays.
