Building Physics Consultant (THERMODYNAMICS, MOISTURE AND CONDENSATION) - Home-based
(INITIALLY FOR 3MTH PART-TIME ROLLING CONRACT)
A new vacancy for a BUILDING PHYSICS CONSULTANT with leading international provider of specialist services to the Construction industry. This can be a home of office-based role, reporting in to the company's headquarters in the North London area. The BUILDING PHYSICS CONSULTANT will be responsible for planning, coordinating and conducting assessments on a wide range of construction products & systems, including THERMAL BRIDGING and MOISTURE TRANSFER calculations. You will also be involved in preparing contract offers and estimates for the assessment of these products/systems. The job holder will be required to research and investigate aspects of construction product/system performance, working as part of a team of specialists and contributing to team and individual targets & objectives
Key candidate requirements:
- Good understanding of THERMODYNAMIC principles, BUILDING PHYSICS and MOISTURE TRANSFER in buildings.
- Knowledge of relevant building regulations & standards.
- Experience working with construction products & systems.
- Minimum degree (or equivalent) with in-depth understanding of relevant science(s)
