Quantity Surveyor - Chichester Projects - High-End Residential / Listed Building. Salary up to 55,000 + Car Allowance + 23 Days Holiday Here at Blaymires Recruitment Ltd we are currently representing a high-end residential building contractor based in Chichester who is searching for a Quantity Surveyor. This respected contractor has built a reputation for building beautiful new houses for private clients as well as undertaking high class refurbishments and renovations of country homes, estates, period town houses and listed properties. The Role This is an ideal opportunity for an ambitious Intermediate Quantity Surveyor or Quantity Surveyor to join a stable and profitable contractor. You will be responsible for managing commercial aspects of projects ranging in value from £500k to £5 million. You will report to the Managing Quantity Surveyor and Senior Management team and having a good working knowledge of JCT forms of contracts is required. Duties Take accountability for pre-contract and post contract commercial functions and deliver agreed profit and mitigate risks. Deliver reporting obligation requirements for subcontract and main contract packages / CVR reporting to time frames / providing costs to complete. Maximise project cash / value by effective management of subcontractor - positive cash profile. Manage and complete relevant subcontract and main contract contractual records including the production of rolling and final account information / variations management. Agree progress claims with the client’s representative and invoice. Measurement and valuation of sub-contractor’s accounts. Attend pre-start meeting with project team. Essential Skills and Qualifications: Have a minimum of 5 years Quantity Surveying experience. Have Main Contracting or High-End Residential. Strong knowledge of JCT form of contracts experience required. Experience in recording and managing variations. Be methodical with attention to detail. Self-motivated with ability to work on your own initiative. Good communication skills. HNC or Degree qualified.
