Senior Estimator - Passive Fire Protection Senior Estimator - an established Passive Fire Protection contractor is searching for a Senior Estimator join their growing business based in Derby. This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Estimator to join a leading specialist contractor operating within a growing sector. We are looking for an experienced Senior Estimator with motivation and ambition to help drive the business forward to the next level. The company specialises in intumescent painting of steelwork, and various elements of fire stopping works for the construction industry both on new builds and existing properties. Roles & Responsibilities: - To create quotations, estimates and lump sum prices for a range of construction companies - Liaise with suppliers to gather best available prices for products and services - Research and assess information and specifications to prepare accurate estimates - Receive & log tender information/estimating documents on to the internal system ready for pricing - Understand and define project scope, goals deliverables to ensure project is quoted within budget and programme - Research and have existing knowledge of materials, equipment and labour costs - Create scope of works and pricing documents - Prepare documentation for bidding projects - Work off drawings and bill of quantities to establish costs. - Download drawings and specifications from Architects and engineers - Quote multiple contracts across the country - Ensure all projects are quoted in line with current specification and legislation The ideal candidate requires experience in the passive fire industry, have high levels of organisation, attention to detail, industry knowledge, time management skills and have a strong work and team ethic. This Senior Estimator position has a guideline salary of £40,000 - £50,000 + company car or car allowance, bonus, pension, healthcare and additional company benefits.
