Assistant Buyer

Assistant Buyer required for a large Sheffield Civil Engineering company. Assistant Buyer An Assistant Buyer job in Sheffield paying up to £28,000 + package for a civil engineering contractor. Your new company You will join a growing civil engineering contractor based in Sheffield who have grown from strength to strength over the past 10 years. Having visited their offices, they offer a modern working environment and an excellent team. Due to company growth they are making the appointment of a Assistant Buyer to join their business. Your new role You will report to their commercial manager and will take on the sole role as assistant buyer for both material and plant. You will place all orders and work alongside the site foreman on site and ensure all their materials / plant arrive on schedule. You will build relationships with suppliers and agree set rates / deals. You will assist the commercial team and work alongside the office staff. You will bring new ideas to the business and they are keen for you to implement systems / new processes if required. What you'll need to succeed You will currently be working as an assistant buyer for a construction or civil engineering contractor. You will be looking to take on a new challenge and work for a growing business where they will offer you career progression and development as the business continues to grow. They are focused on ensuring the profits of the business continue to grow rather than solely focusing on turnover. You will be given autonomy to manage your own time and work with an enthusiastic team.
