Job Description
An opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Cleaning Manager to join a leading UK building service provider on a flagship, public sector contract on a full time, permanent basis in the Lincolnshire region.
In this role, you will be supporting the Cleaning Manager in the delivery of cleaning services across a multi-site contract, overseeing a large team of staff, ensuring the services delivered are within SLAs and adhering to H&S practices.
Duties:
* Operational performance and cost control responsibility for their associated sites and teams.
* Ensure the requirements of the company Health, Safety and Environmental policies are fully understood and implemented.
* Drive efficiency by organising human resources on their sites and liaising with other Assistant Cleaning Managers to optimise resource utilisation across the three regions.
* Promote the development of team members and actively encourage effective relationships.
* Recruitment, Induction and training of new cleaners.
* Management of cleaners and cleaning supervisors.
* Delivery of all scheduled cleaning hours.
* Management of absence and holidays of cleaners arranging cover as necessary.
* Liaise with HR and payroll departments regarding overtime payments and deductions for non-attendance.
* Timely ordering of cleaning and washroom consumables (toilet rolls, hand towels, soap, detergents, cleaning cloths etc.).
* Timely ordering of cleaning equipment.
* Effective and efficient stock control.
* PAT testing of cleaning equipment.
* Support and oversee the performance of cleaners and cleaning supervisors.
* Agree format of monthly cleaning report in accordance with Cleaning Service Delivery Plan.
* Produce monthly cleaning reports and issue to Regional Facilities Managers.
* Complete cleaning audits in accordance with the Service Delivery Plan.
* Ensure all accidents are reported.
* Understand and implement all relevant Minimum Safety Standards (MSS).
* Report all Close Calls and Positive Interventions.
* Assist management of KPIs in accordance with the KPI Schedule Expected Behaviours.
* Be respectful of everybody that you come into contact with.
* Manage your time effectively and prioritise your workload.
* Co-operate and interact with all members of the project team.
Candidate Criteria:
* BICSs
* IOSH Managing Safely V5
* Must have - GCSE Grade C or above in Mathematics/English
* Leading a team of up to 30 cleaners
* 2 years managerial experience
*Please note – you must be able to successfully obtain Enhanced DBS (obtained by employer) and you will need to be vetted by Lincolnshire Police. These will be processed prior to commencement of position*
