External Interface Manager Location - Milton Keynes (Some initial travel to Birmingham) Eiffage Kier is a Joint Venture between the two major civil engineering and construction companies, Eiffage and Kier. Eiffage Kier is proud to have been appointed by HS2 to deliver civil engineering works across an 80km section of the new high-speed rail link between the Chiltern Tunnel and Long Itchington Wood. Our scope of the works includes 17 viaducts, 5km of green tunnels, 22km of road diversions, 75 overbridges and 24 million cubic metres of excavation. This role sits within the Eiffage Kier Interface & Stakeholder Management Team reporting to the Head of Interfaces. The role will assist in maintaining the Interface Control Document as part of the interface and stakeholder management strategy by supporting the Head of Interfaces who has direct accountability for managing key stakeholders and delivering assurance of Undertakings and Assurances, and will be the main point of contact for local and strategic highway authorities on behalf of the Integrated Project Team. The role will involve coordination with other project contractors (e.g. Enabling Works, utilities contractors) to ensure a consistent and coordinated approach is taken to deliver the project external stakeholders' needs. The role will be initially based in Birmingham then Milton Keynes, and will require travel across the route from Buckinghamshire to Warwickshire. There will be frequent travel to attend meetings with Local / Highway Authorities, and in some circumstances with the Design Joint Venture offices in Birmingham. Key Skills/Abilities: Knowledge of large scale civil engineering projects or streetworks Understanding of HS2 Act (or similar) requirements and the constraints this applies Awareness of the constraints / sensitivities from working in the rural environment IT skills - Office, SharePoint, Document Management Systems, awareness of GIS platforms Degree qualified in civil engineering discipline Possession of good organisational and communication skills Proven first line management experienceIf you would like to be part of our collaborative, enthusiastic and forward-thinking culture, then please apply today.
