Grounds Maintenance/Labourer

One of our local clients based in Bromley are currently recruiting for the role of Grounds Maintenance/Labourer. DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: * To demonstrate good horticultural practice and produce high standards of work. * To be responsible for operating mowing machinery when required to include ride-on and pedestrian mowers and ensure that any damage or defect is reported to the Team leader, howsoever caused. * To carry out general grounds maintenance operations to include, for example, grass cutting, hedge trimming, digging, weeding, turf laying, clearing leaves, strimming, litter collection and pitch marking. * Horticultural operations to include planting trees, shrubs and flowers, pruning shrubs and trees to good horticultural practice. * To be able to identify basic trees, plants and shrubs as necessary. * To carry out chemical control, under supervision if necessary with the requirement for a PA6 N.P.T.C. certificate. Training will be provided. * A full driving license with the ability to tow a trailer is essential. * To carry out any other duties that may be required, possibly within other sections of the City Council. * To work 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday inclusive, or to meet the needs of the service.
