Quantity Surveyor/Commercial Manager - steelwork

We seek an experienced steelwork professional with experience working as either a Quantity Surveyor or Estimator to join a small but successful steelwork fabrication business based in Coventry, West Mids as their Commercial Manager. The company specialises in the design, fabrication and erection of a range of structural steelwork for the construction industry. Projects undertaken vary but are typically steel framed buildings/portal frames valued up to £250k. Estimator/Commercial Manager will work alongside the Company Director to: * Coordinate the Estimating department and prioritise tenders. * Maintain relationships with clients. * Hands on Estimating - Read drawings and produce take-offs and bills of quantities etc. * Assisting with the preparation on quotes/tenders. Estimator/Commercial Manager requirements: * Previous experience working as a steelwork Estimator is essential. * Experience working on projects such as steel framed buildings would be highly advantageous. * Experience dealing with final accounts, re-measures, variation management etc would be advantageous but is not essential. * Must have a good eye for details and be an effective communicator both written and verbally.
