Job Description

Team4you are delighted to be seeking a talented and driven Site Manager to work on a planned maintenance and social housing projects across Shropshire and Mid Wales. As the post holder of a key role, The Site Manager will take full responsibility for all production functions on contracts from award through to handover and maintain and maximise quality of service and profitability. This is a unique opportunity to be involved in a community project, which will benefit the local community, by providing accommodation to local people. Key Responsibilities: As Site Manager, you will be responsibile for the daily monitoring / overseeing of the busy construction site. Duties include(but not limited to): * Liaising with clients and reporting progress, professional staff (such as architects and surveyors) and the public * Supervising contracted staff and subcontractors. * Making safety inspections and ensuring construction and site safety. * Checking and preparing site reports, designs and drawings. * Maintaining quality control procedures. * Motivating the workforce. * Problem solving. * Management of quality control. * Producing RAMS (Risk Assessment & Method Statements). * Fulfil responsibility contained within the Health and Safety management system on site. The right applicant MUST have: * A Full Driving License * SMSTS * CSCS Card * First Aid * A Minimum of 5 Years experience in a similar role Experience and Qualifications: The successful candidate will hold a degree/HNC/HND in construction and ideally be professionally qualified or working towards membership of a professional body. You must experience of managing large contracts together with knowledge of traditional and timber frame construction methods. You will possess excellent management and communication skills with the ability to proactively manage several live construction sites and teams at any one time, including direct labour and subcontractor resource and the ability to deliver quality construction projects within budget and programme timescales.
