Job Description

Central Employment are looking for a qualified H&S Manager, to join the team at a regional development contractor. Working within the built environment, you will have vast knowledge of industry legislation. My client are still relatively new to the industry but are growing at a rapid rate, with huge contracts and more in the pipeline. We see this as a genuine opportunity for a H&S Professional to have an input on developing processes and culture within the organisation, during huge growth. Responsibilities; * Management of health and safety over multiple production sites throughout the UK * Preparing risk assessments and method statements * Chairing regular health and safety meetings * Site inspections on all sites identifying issues and implementing changes * Conduct root cause investigations * Continuously improve relevant Health and Safety processes * Build relationships with all site staff and management, developing current H&S culture. * Induction of all site visitors, contractors and new starters * Working independently until process in place. You will then be heavily involved in the recruitment of your H&S team. Skills and Knowledge * NEBOSH Diploma Certificate (or equivalent) * 5+ years in Management * Full understanding of CDM Regulations * Hands on approach to promote positive culture * Ability to work with all staff and management * Knowledge of Logistical H&S * Full UK Driving Licence * Industrial / Construction background desirable.
