Quantity Surveyor Job Type: Permanent Start date: As soon as possible Industry: Groundworks Location: Thornbury, Gloucestershire Salary: £30,000 - £45,000 + package ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- JOB DESCRIPTION: Daniel Owen are a recruitment company that specialise in placing people within the building and construction, engineering, rail & maintenance industries. We are currently recruiting on behalf of a young and growing company specialising in groundwork services for Retail, Domestic, Education, Health and Civil markets across South West. Annual company turnover currently is £8-10m, with circa 10 live projects any time given of values ranging from £40k to £2m. You will work alongside Senior Quantity Surveyor and your responsibilities will involve: * Preparing and ensuring Client accounts are submitted in a timely manner and in accordance with the Contract. * Identifying, notifying, pricing and maximising any opportunities from changes within projects. * Ensuring weekly cost information was correct. * Preparing and negotiating final accounts. * Preparing and presenting monthly CVR to senior management. * Engaging subcontractors and administering their subcontract. * Scheduling and procurement of materials. * Preparing tenders and forwarding them to clients. Requirements for the role of Quantity Surveyor: * BSc or HND (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying and/or Commercial Management * Minimum 3 years' post-qualification experience with groundworks and/or civils * Strong negotiation skills and commercial awareness If you feel you would be well-suited for this position please apply, or contact Simona for more information (Apply online only) or e-mail
