Quantity Surveyor / Estimator

Quantity Surveyor required to join a well-established Civils and Structural company based in Stockport. This opportunity is for a QS to join the Quantity Surveying department and further their career as a QS. The ideal candidate for this position will be able to organise themselves and work in a methodical process and will have a strong background in Quantity Surveying. My client predominantly completes projects within the rail sector throughout the UK, working alongside companies such as Network Rail. The ideal candidate for this position will have a proven background in Quantity Surveying and ideally a qualification in Quantity Surveying or similar. This opportunity has arisen due to expansion within the company. Quantity Surveyor Position Overview * Liaising with the construction teams * Arranging payment to contractors and analysing work completed * Allocating work to contractors * Manages all costs from the initial calculations to the final figures * Minimise costs of a project, while achieving the required standards and quality expected. * Responsible for the planning, programming, resourcing, monitoring and progress reporting of (cost and programme) for the project.
