Design Manager £45-55k + Car & Package West Midlands The Company A regional contractor with a £75m turnover are requiring an experienced design manager to join their West Midlands office. This successful company undertake projects, both public and private, and in a variety of sectors; health, education, commercial, industrial, high security, social and elderly care, emergency services and heritage. With over 60 years' experience in the industry the family owned business take pride in their ability to work closely with the clients, consultants, subcontractors and the surrounding community, to provide projects that exceed the client's needs. The Role The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge and experience in taking projects up to the value of £7m from cradle to grave status. The midlands based role requires the design manager to fulfil the following typical responsibilities: * Assist with Bid Management, from first enquiry through to contract awarded * Manage the Design Team throughout the tender process * Analyse Tender Documentation to identify risk, opportunity, insufficient information & incorrect design * Develop innovative design solutions to client briefs with input from the professional team and sub-contractors * Review the design on an on-going basis, identify potential interface problems in Construction and resolve within the Design Team.
