Trainee Quantity Surveyor

Trainee Quantity Surveyor required for a well-established main contractor based in Cheshire. My client prides themselves on the positive influence they have had on the local community. They have done this by supporting community groups and visiting schools to deliver career and health and safety advice; for their efforts my client have gained community awards as well as multiple awards for various projects. The Trainee QS will be travelling to sites nationwide 2-3 days a week which will include nights away. The Trainee Quantity Surveyor will have at least 1 years' experience as a Trainee QS within the construction industry. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Trainee Quantity Surveyor to work for a well-known construction company on projects ranging from £35mil+. The Trainee Quantity Surveyor will be working predominately on student accommodation, however, my client works on range of different sectors including commercial and industrial. The opportunities with my client are almost endless as any training development is done on a threshold application process which, once completed, you will be promoted internally regardless of whether there is a vacancy available. Trainee Quantity Surveyor Position Overview * Accountable to the Senior Quantity Surveyor * Travel to sites 2-3 days a week (includes nights away) * Liaise with subcontractors to gain quotations * Prepare subcontract payments for current contracts * Pass all quotations to the Quantity Surveyor for authorisation * Adhere to all budgets Trainee Quantity Surveyor Position Requirements * Qualified to NVQ level 4 or equivalent * At least 1 years' experience as a Trainee Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry * Flexible with travel * Live in the Cheshire area Trainee Quantity Surveyor Position Remuneration * Salary £16k-£22k * Company pension * 25 days' holiday * Brilliant training development * Life assurance * Working hours Mon-Thurs 8.00am to 5.00pm, Fri 8.00am to 3.30pm Join us on Twitter, Facebook or LinkedIn - Search Bennett and Game Recruitment.
