As a qualified and experienced Quantity Surveyor, I would perhaps be looking to join one of the North of England's most prestigious privately owned construction contractors. First let me tell you something about the contractor. £20m+ turnover, more than 100 direct employees covering projects throughout the north for almost 150 years... ranging between bespoke innovative new build to restoration, refurbishment and conservation. The expression that springs to mind is big enough to handle major clients and small enough to care. As a seasoned Quantity Surveyor we would really like to see evidence of your ability to handle 2-3 projects at any one time, project value up to £5m. These are the top end high profile projects within the company, you will report directly to the Managing surveyor, it is fair to say you will be high profile and seen as pivotal by your colleagues and the Directors.
