Job Description
As part of an increase in workload my client in North London are seeking to recruit a Sustainability Engineer to join their consultancy.
As a Sustainability Engineer you should be technically capable of managing a portfolio of projects, including works at both planning and detailed design stages.
Work is likely to include:
• Working within a team of Sustainability engineers and to ensure effective delivery of projects and tasks to meet the deadlines set by your line manager.
• Writing and reviewing technical reports for submission to planning and clients
• Completion of BREEAM / Code for Sustainable Homes assessments from Pre Assessment to Post Construction
• Completion of Part L1A & Part L2A calculations
• Completion of Energy Strategies and Sustainability Strategy Development
• Liaising directly with Clients, Architects and Contractors on projects to ensure we meet client needs and to ensure that projects are delivered on programme.
• Liaise with your line manager to ensure that targets are met and that any issues arising on projects can be dealt with quickly and properly.
Required Qualifications / Experience:
• Minimum 2 years experience
• Experience in delivering BREEAM New Construction Design Stage & Post Construction assessments
• Experience in delivering Code for Sustainable Homes Design Stage & Post Construction assessments
• Knowledge of Energy and Sustainability Strategy development
• Experience in completion of SAP, iSBEM and/or Dynamic Simulation Modelling (DSM) calculations
Optional Qualifications / Experience:
• BREEAM New Construction 2011 certification
• Code for Sustainable Homes certification
• User of IES Virtual Environment (IES-VE) software
• On Construction Domestic Energy Assessor (OCDEA)
